Das Schnitzel Haus

We dined here last night for my birthday, we had a party of six and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious! Service was great and the owner is delightful and made me feel so special! My husband and I dressed in a dirndl and lederhosen for fun and everyone loved it! Definitely recommend the kraut balls, German beer, and cake is a must! 10/10 will dine again!

Definitely more on the American side of german dishes. I ordered the trio sausages (hard to mess up). The original plate was pretty good;it came with cooked cabbage, pierogies, sour cream, and mustard. Not super traditional considering I've never seen a single German restaurant serve it with sour cream (but good, I suppose), and I've never seen a German place sell it with such a bitter untextured mustard. The links themselves were good, but the cabbage was on the sweeter end (I prefer mine cooked with more alcohol and slightly more acidic, but that's preferance). The cabbage was good overall, but it was missing red cabbage which is also something I've never seen a German restaurant not serve either. My grandmother was able to get some plain chicken there since she has stomach trouble and they were super nice about it, but then again, they were very friendly the whole time. Food and service are on point as always. It's a go-to when I don't want to be disappointed. I get the jagerschnitzel with spetzels. The selection of beer is really good also. It has a very family feel.
