This place was AMAZING! The service was top notch and my food came out so fast. The chicken was super juicy and the cookie was warm and absolutely delicious. I will most definitely be bringing my friends to check this new Houston Heights gem out!
Insanely good popcorn chicken and chicken sandwich! The chicken is so crispy and fresh. I’ve been hunting through LA for the best fried chicken, so far this is the best I’ve had. Makes some of the popular places seem just “ok”. Service is very friendly and quick for the quality of the food. A great hole in the wall with outdoor seating and a small storefront for ordering (hence the name, as close to a shack without being one). Sauces taste home made, honey mustard and ranch were perfect.
Fried-chicken focused restaurant with sandwiches, tenders, and wings. There are vegan options as well as salad/bowl options for the more health-conscious. They’re currently operating during covid, and you can place an order online for pickup or get delivery with the usual suspects. There’s an ordering kiosk in the restaurant as well. Our food was ready later than estimated, but not by much. Paid street parking is available (paid even on Sundays) and it’s located right across a park if you wanted to picnic. Service was okay, if a bit abrupt. I wish there was more flavor to all the food, although the quality of the chicken was up there. The bread for both sandwiches (Big Daddy and Spicy Daddy) was very soft. There’s a good amount of sauce, although you can opt to add more sauces for 50 cents each. Both sandwiches were a bit bland, and the spicy daddy only had a little heat. The Nashville tenders also weren’t as flavorful as we hoped. The fries were the best part of the meal. The portion
