Cups & Cones

Fun little spot for some ice cream, coffee, & small food menu. They've got a quaint little gift shop as well that feels aimed at children & older women. Still, the staff is courteous & the atmosphere is easy & laid back.

Cups and Cones is part of the heart of the Steiner community. Owners are always volunteering and supporting schools. Kids love to meet there for all celebratory ice cream treats! Our family enjoys picking up breakfast tacos. Sometimes we stop in for a cool down drink when out hiking around the neighborhood. Love that the owners also try to support and hire the teens in the community.

We visit Cups and Cones about once a week! We love the Blue Bell ice cream options and the Amy’s ice cream options too. They now have “Blueberry Pop Tart” flavor! The owner, Rick, was kind enough to tell me to try it and it did not disappoint! My son loves the made in house shaved ice! I have heard Rick’s scones are amazing too. The selection of pastries is impressive for a small business. We were already in Steiner when Cups and Cones opened 14 years ago. We have watched Rick and Kristi work lonnnnnng hours each week to keep their business thriving. I have never seen either of them appear frustrated with the plethora of elementary and middle school kids that come in daily. I’ve actually marveled at their patience for indecision and complicated orders when their is a line waiting. If you are in a hurry the hours right after school might not be your sweet spot, but if you have time to sit back and watch a fun little community hive come to Cups and Cones.
