Went there for the first time recently. Very unlikely to return except to get a cold drink because it's in a to-go cup and comes with a lid, if you ask. The only other good thing was our server. Otherwise, not impressed. Two doors of entry and no clear indication where the main entrance is. Two people seating people from two different doors causes one of the people to have an attitude when someone else seated us at a table she was going to seat someone. The food...lacks flavor. If you don't know about cuban food then you wouldn't know any better. Orderd a stuffed potato ball. Came out very overcooked on the outside and ice cold on the inside. Clearly they took it from the freezer and put it in high temp oil causing the outside to burn and inside to be cold. Steak sandwich.... very bland, had no seasoning and for a sandwich to say it comes with onions... I coudln't find them. Save your money and time and go check out El Jefe cafe on Gunn.. much better food and service.
Food was perfect!! And let's not even talk about the prices . This cuban restaurant is really good , the iced sweet tea is the best in town.
I literally have dreams about their picadillo, black beans, white rice and plantains. SO DELICIOUS. Makes me feel like I’m back at FSU eating at Gordo’s ????
