I often order dinner for my parents and take it to them, especially on the weekends. My mom and I ordered from two different places at R. House. Both orders were ready for pickup when I got there, and I didn’t have any issues. My dad wanted something from Creole Soul, so my mom placed an order for him online as well. The first issue with Creole Soul is that, apparently, their system doesn’t display orders made from Toast Tab. The woman told me that she couldn’t find my order, and I’d have to contact Toast Tab for a refund. I’ve contacted Toast Tab, and they informed me the restaurant is responsible for the refund. The second issue with Creole Soul is that they don’t have an updated menu online. My dad ordered a catfish dinner with rice and greens. The woman informed me that they only had grits and fries. Who wants to dig through their food to see it and find the condiments? I didn't see any desserts either, nor was I asked if I wanted to order something to drink. R.house has plenty of seating and a vibrant atmosphere, so they are definitely in a good spot. Everyone was also friendly. Finally, I was told that my only options for Catfish was with french fries for $18 or grits for $20. I could not just order Catfish. My Catfish was ok, but I have tasted better seasoning. My fries were nice and hot. I just feel like I paid too much for so little food. I paid $26 for
