Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel has the best pancakes ever-buttery with crispy edges. Heavenly! I tried the cheesecake pancakes which are to die for. The tart fresh strawberries were perfectly paired with the creamy cheesecake filling and strawberry syrup which was made from real strawberries. Our waiter (I think it was Amal) was one of the best I've ever had. He started us off with extra napkins, a basket of bread, and promptly brought our beverages. And by the way, don't pass up the corn muffins! They taste smoky, like they are made with smoked ham or bacon. Fantastic food and fantastic service.

We arrived at 6:30 this evening and were promptly sat. They were not busy compared to a normal Sunday evening. However, that was the extent of service. We sat for 22 minutes and never had a waiter/waitress come to our table. There were 6 tables sat in our area and we saw briefly two staff. We made the decision to leave and let the cashiers know as the hostess was not available. They did not seem the least bit concerned by our comments. If a staff person had walked by in our area, we would have grabbed them for service. No such luck. We will not be back in the near future.

Since the beginning started bad, first, phone number taken wrong so they never let me know that my table was ready. 2nd, steak was medium well done and hard instead of medium, send it back, when we get our 2nd steak was well done , 3rd scramble egg uncooked . We left both our plates food was not edible, normally we get stuffed . The only good thing was the waiter, she was very nice. We never had this problem, I had always enjoy the food. Hopefully next time will be better
