Courtesy Diner

Do you ever find you base a lot of your thoughts of a restaurant on strange little things? For better or worse, I do this. For Italian restaurants, I order meatballs. If they're not overworked and overcooked, I'm in a place that cares. With breakfast joints, it's toast. If someone took the trouble to butter most or all of the piece of toast, then you're in a place where people care. Even if it's a beat up old shops that sling slingers. Courtesy Diners are like that, including this location. Prices are great. The service was as expected, food arrived quickly, the coffee was terrible, as it should be. Never change, Courtesy Diner. You haven't yet and I hope you never do.

It is a diner. The food is good, diner food. No frills, just good. I had French toast that didn't look like anything special, but tasted better than any French toast I've had in forever. Better than mine. The staff is, as advertised, courteous.

Always have the hangover, chicken fried steak, three eggs over easy and hash browns. Excellent. Great service and even better prices. Go there at least four times a week.
