This place has become our family’s go-to for breakfast on the weekends! Love the waitress & the food is great. Biscuits & gravy are delicious, so are the pancakes! Omelettes & burgers are must try’s. Would recommend.

This little hole in the wall is located in a dingy strip mall. But it is clean inside, and the food is good. Price is reasonable. Today there was just one server so we were there awhile before we ordered. She handled everything efficiently, and the food came out quick once out order was in.

Country Kitchen is one of the few remaining places of the days of The Bakersfield Sound. A known hang out for the musicians who once played the now gone Trouts. Red Simpson was known to eat here. This city has neglected much of his history. It is by accident that this wonderful little diner still survives. This is a must visit for fans of Bakersfield Country Music. ( Merle Haggard, Buck Owens ) Kid-friendliness: The staff was super friendly. They provide exactly the type of quality service you would want at a classic country diner. Parking: Parked right by the front door. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy, ground level.
