Colossal Cafe

The place: Deli counter vibes. Cozy, the line hits the door pretty easily. When you go, you get a table name from the host. They’ll put your table name on your assigned table, then you stay in line to order off the generous menu. There’s plenty to see in the bakery display, feast your eyes (before feasting your face) on the enormous cinnamon rolls. The location: Walkable area, lots of street parking in front and around the corner. The food: Delicious. There’s a good amount of vegetarian options, both sweet and savory. I was tempted by the Greek frittata and the weekend special (a breakfast sandwich with goat cheese, tomatoes, egg, and something else I can’t remember). I got the veggie chorizo bowl which came with rice, veggies, two salsas, and eggs. Great flavor, came out piping hot. Would definitely get it again. The service: Delightful. Everyone knew their stuff and kept the line moving. Next time: I might need to get a mimosa and roll a die for something to eat because anything look

Restaurant is small. Sitting is limited, but they can accommodate a big group too. Service was ok. Pancakes were just ok. They were not as fluffy as some review mentioned. Overall, food was good. Parking: Street parking only. No Reservation needed at the Como location. 1st comes, 1st serve.

So good! Nice staff, cute little spot and delicious food! The pineapple habanero hot sauce is also a must! Photo is the colossal breakfast platter, pancakes and a Reuben with Cesar side salad.
