Amazing food and staff. Fried chicken to die for. Very detailed interior bring you back to the good old days. Johnsie was a perfectionist as our server.
Just a half block from another notable Raleigh house of fried chicken, Clyde Cooper’s is delivering the goods. Food is on paper trays and styrofoam bowls and cups. Served with a plastic fork but there’s love in this food. Hush puppies are fresh sweet and crispy. The pork rinds are nice and I used mine as a crumble for my Mac n cheese. All of the food here just tastes like great home cooking. The collards, green beans, mac n cheese and fries are all good but the star is the brined fried chicken! Meat is salty good and the crust is lightly crispy. I will be back often.
True Carolina BBQ. After we got in, I recognised pictures from the Pit Master show. Brisket was definitely the best. All the other cuts of meat were also great. Our ribs just came straight out of the smoker, and you could taste it. Definitely need to go when you are in town.
