This is review is from an ex regular customer and it happened last Saturday 4/16/23 at 430pm. I ordered a bunch of food for the family for pickup as usual, gave a tip as usual, I got home after 20 minutes, I was surprised to see that 1 major item ( Chita fries) was missing from the bag. I was very frustrated because the restaurant is over 10 miles away and the fam is excited and hungry. I called to let them know what happened and got transferred to the Manager Astal(?). She was nonchalant with her first response, "we missed your order, do you want a refund or do you want to come back?". I was more frustrated and angry because of her tone and attitude more than anything. Only after I pointed that out did she change her tone and apologized... I'm also in the service business, I understand mistakes can happen but I don't like the attitude " oh we missed it, too bad! Do you want a refund?" There are plenty of restaurants in this with good food I can support!
This is a wonderful hole in the wall Mexican restaurant… that stays open till 1am on the weekends! Thank goodness because this town lacks late night foods in a serious way. Chita’s cuisine is very tasty with a good amount of vegetarian options, and they have a salsa bar! Since Tres Hermanas did their rebranding and menu change (for the worse, unfortunately) I got to say that this place has usurped the top traditional Mexican restaurant in SAC. They have some patio spaces and a small inside for dining, FYI.
Tiny neighborhood spot, a handful of tables more used for waiting than eating. The spot was absolutely packed when we got there and had a train of both diners, carry-out, and delivery drivers in a line nearly out the door at times. We all know this as the traditional sign in neighborhood dining that you're in for a long time but a good time. We were waiting on 2 chimichanga and a burrito for probably a titch over 20 minutes. The wait was worth it, got a decent sized cabeza chimichanga for $12~. Fresh ingredients, DID have a lil issue with the wrap of the changa (ingredients were not layered well) but it's a thing that can happen occasionally. Repeat offense is sign of improper training, a one time flub-up during a rush is negligible. One friend had a fish burrito that he said was absolute fire, another got the asada chimichanga. Full disclosure, the third man said he wasn't as happy with the fry job on his changa, but he was just craving something a bit more trashy (he mentioned ground
