A couple months ago I ordered General Tso's chicken with brown rice which is not normally my go-to because I like veggies. It was by far the BEST have ever had, seriously it was all white meat and lightly breaded. Then a couple weeks ago I ordered again and it was terrible, like a different recipe and cook. My experience with this places is inconsistent, but usually good.
I know most places in Kansas City do not make cashew chicken correctly for someone who is accustomed to Springfield cashew chicken; however, this is absolutely the worst cashew chicken I've ever had in my life! There was very little chicken (not fried) and cashews and mostly some big hunks of carrots that were green and bitter. While green carrots may not be poisonous (I looked it up), they are bitter, taste horrible, and should not have been served to customers! There were no green onions but a bunch of chunky, unripe celery, and the sauce was not thick and dark brown like normal cashew sauce, but rather it was like a watered down beef broth or something. It literally made me sick! This place is off my list for good!
they were out of table top hot mustard, fried rice was very mushy, and our main course tasted like ketchup and was thick like a meatloaf topping…. The crunchy noodles you get with your soup. Not even 1/4th of a bag. Pretty sure everything was old just hot. Usually we order large amounts, I’m glad we only ordered two lunch specials. Highly dissatisfied. Will not be back.
