Chilango Fresh Mexican

Chilango is eerily similar to Mazunte Taqueria and located in a shopping plaza. The flavors were pretty good and the standout was the Cochinita taco. The Cochinita balanced salt, fat, acid, and spice for a taco with a powerful flavor profile; could definitely have multiples. The empanadas had a flavorful filling but I’m more partial to the Colombian style corn empanada vs. the flour...braised beef was bursting with rich beef flavor while the chorizo con papa was a bit bland. This place would benefit from some vegetarian options and maybe some traditional items like menudo or pozole. I did appreciate that the chips were salted and not greasy (a definite negative for Mazunte). A lengua taco or empanada would also be great to see an option.

i love chilango. i usually will order online for lunch once a week and drive from my office to pick up. the quesadilla is the bomb and their chorizo tacos are most excellent. the staff is always friendly when you go to pick up. i'm doing a lot of restaurant reviews right now because i gig deliveries part time at night so i know what restaurants are good and which ones are having problems. and i'm not buying this "staffing problem" excuse because thst's just lame. chilango is a sure bet but you have to pick up or have it delivered. i do not think they have dining room service.

First time here and we will be back. Having a several complicated orders due to dietary restrictions, it's great to have a place that pays attention to orders. On top of being extremely friendly and serving delicious food, they even took the time to label each order with names on the outside and what was ordered on the inside.
