Chicago Pete's - Charlotte Center City

Great looking place. Looks chic and clean. My order was ready when I walked in and I was met by the owner. At first glance, I thought maybe the price was high for the portion I received, but after diving in, the deep dish veggie was amazing and very filling. I can eat on this pizza for a few days. The price is worth the product received. I will be trying other menu items this week.

I used to come to this place all the time when it was Mike's Chicago dog. Pete needs to give it up. Maxwell's are not done How a Maxwell should be. Chicago-style dogs aren't the right way. I'm calling Vienna beef tonight ain't no way man if you're looking for the authentic Chicago hot dog experience, you won't find it here. Looks like they've switched over to just pizzas and everything else is a burden to make properly.

Let me tell you how my experience went. I walk in the restaurant and guess who is at the cashier? Pete. The owner. I know this because after having what I would say is the best Pizza of my life, I had to go up and let the manager know. He tells me that he’s the owner. So I let him know “Man your pizza is amazing”. His response: “I didn’t make that, my employee Rose did!” Then calls over to the lady making the pizza and tells her I loved her pizza. The guy is humble, he works when there’s not enough employees, and he respects his workers. We need more restaurant owners in the world like this guy. Definitely recommend every time and I guarantee you I’ll be eating here any time I am in Charlotte. Thanks for a great experience!
