Chen's Gourmet

The food here at Chen’s Gourmet is excellent! I recently moved to Bradenton from NYC. Having eaten at many different Chinese restaurants in NYC’s Chinatown area, I can say that the food at Chen’s Gourmet is very reminiscent of the high quality food I would get back in NYC. I especially like the fried dumplings and the sesame chicken. Chen’s serves big, moist pieces of chicken, not tiny pieces of chicken covered in ridiculous amounts of batter like I have had at some other local Chinese restaurants. The young lady who takes the orders is polite and very kind.

The food is fresh and delicious, standard take out, friendly service. Restaurant is clean and neat. Please see the attached food picture--steam dumpling. My Chinese friends told me it is their essential food on their holidays. LOL I will definitely come back again :::)

I ordered the Sesame chicken combo and it had less than a half of a chicken wing worth of chicken in it, more like the flapper! All battter!! Terrible! It should be against restaurant food rules to rob your customers like that! I'm from NC and this is the worst Food I have ever had!!!! Trash! Don't go there!
