Chef Rose Jamaican Cuisine

Food is amazing! It takes like 20 minutes because it’s made by order. Everything’s very fresh. We ordered the classic Jamaican dishes with yerk and one with brown stew. They were delicious! And the quinoa waffle it’s the best I’ve ever had. Prices are a bit high in my opinion. But it’s worth.

Order ahead and avoid the wait. This place is the place to go for oxtail. I ordered the large and the portion size was excellent. The price was more than fair. It came with rice and peas(beans), cabbage, and plantains. The flavors were over the top. Besides my friend's mom's homemade oxtail, this place is the best I've ever had. Each plate is made to order so program in a wait or order ahead. This is no doubt a must try place.

So this was my second visit to Chef Rose, I went for the first time in July when I was there celebrating my birthday, this time I was here on business and I actually went out of my way to come here again because I could t believe how good the food was the first time. So I got the exact same thing that I had the time before..jerk chicken, cabbage and plantains and once again I was blown away by the flavor and freshness. I heard that the Ox Tail is even better, so I will be trying that on my next visit to Fort Lauderdale. I went to several restaurants while I was there and the food here was by far the best. I even went to some of the nice restaurants at the guitar casino but none compared to this. Only two problems, there is no dine-in and you might have to wait longer than usual so order way ahead..lol people there are very friendly, customers and employees. Definitely my favorite spot in Lauderdale
