Quick service.. good food and fair price !
OH MY GOD!!! For all these years living in the neighborhood, I’ve never been to this hidden gem!! If I say this place is authentic, you’d better believe it. Why? I was both and raised in China, 27 years living in China. And, I was born in the year of pig. My life is all about eating. This place is THE best Chinese restaurant in the northwest suburbs. It’s specialized in Chengdu culinary style, spicy and numbing. I’m sorry if you don’t think it’s real Chinese food because it’s not the typical sweet and sour stuff that you get from “Chinese restaurants”. I posted the entire menu so my Chinese fellas (you are welcome!) can see what you are REALLY looking at here. I had to call them to speak in Chinese for my pick up order because I don’t understand English menu for my Chinese food. Thank you Chef Bo for being who you are and for cooking the authentic cuisine that deserves a million stars!!! Hands and knees, thank you!!! Especially for this special time, I haven’t been home for so long d
This Chinese restaurant serves both traditional Chinese food and American Chinese food. You can probably find three other American Chinese places as you drive up south rand road, but if you are a little fluent with Chinese, it's kind of like being able to being able to access their "hidden" menu. It looks like they changed their menu quite a bit recently. There are fewer options for chicken on the menu, and more for seafood when eating in. I'd try the Kou Dai Tofu (Koh Die), which is wood ear, snow peas, carrots and silky tofu orbs that carry an explosion of taste covered in a familiar seafood sauce. Their pickled pepper and fish soup is also something our family frequently gets. All very tasty.
