Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

We ordered the following We were greeted and seated quickly, our waitress came over to take care of us within minutes. She brought us each a Orange croissant, which was light and fluffy. Pot pie with potato soup, oh my great soup, large chunks of potato!!! Pot pie was amazing, with big pieces of chicken and surprisingly light crust! Monte Cristo although it is a fried item it was very light tasting with lots of meat. It came with a jam but jalapeño jam would be a great option. Texas frozen swirl margarita: A little on the sweet side, the frozen and alcohol part really helped balance it. So much food we couldn’t eat it all! I highly recommend Cheddar’s

I am on the fence about Cheddar’s. Was able to get a table with little wait. The menu is very basic with items you’d find at a bar. Lots of sandwiches, chicken fingers, burgers, salads, and ribs. The food includes complimentary butter croissants which were good. The food itself was the reason for the three stars. It is beyond basic, everything was good, but not great. If average was a flavor I imagine it would taste like Cheddar’s. The service was good, and the location is nice. The food just doesn’t scream return trip to me.

It wasn't good at all. After seating took 20 min just to get our drink order... The only thing that was good was crescent rolls and even those were not great. Just blah. I went mainly for country fried steak. They were out. So to me that means everything is not made from scratch. Thank God the chips and queso were free because 7 bucks for nasty tasting old oil/ or burnt chips( my bet is old oil). Yuck yuck cannot say it enough and hr since I ate and still nasty taste from the chips nope was super excited to try it not worth the 60 bucks for two people.
