Chapala Mexican Restaurant

Sunday 04.03.2022 The remodel is great. Glad they are finally open again. We missed you Chapala. Today was as the first day of the soft open. They are still little under staffed and the wait was long, but it was more than worth the wait. We had the Jalisco fajitas. It had onions, a good amount of yellow, red and green peppers. There were 5 or 6 shrimp of a good size. Additionally there were strips of beef and chicken. The portions were a nice size. The flavors were amazing. Service was even good even though they were busy and stretched thin. We had a side plate with the rice, beans, sour cream,guac and pico with tiny bit of lettuce. All was cooked great. We will return and hope they get the staffing issues solved soon. If you have never been you need to go. Features: Mask mandates are over. Less than half the staff had masks on. A few customers had masks, but you can't eat with one on.

Best quality around, you can really tell they care about what they are serving their customers. Food was perfect. Service was great, our server made sure we had everything we needed and all the other servers didn’t hesitate to check on us for refills on salsa or drinks and chips. Very great observation for the entire staff! Definitely worth the wait, food tasted as if it was made with love! Great atmosphere, and the drinks were amazing! Will definitely be back, probably later today! ☺️ children loved the colorful chairs and booths they have when you first enter, the decorations were eye catching! Staff was all well presented and clean! I suggest everyone gets a large cheese dip at least. It’s so yummy, I had the Special Chapala fajitas, they seemed as if they just came off the grill and the meat was so tender! ????

First time trying Chapala at the new location. We went on a Wednesday at 7:30 in the evening. It wasn't busy at all and we were seated immediately. It's very spacious and the new booths look really good. We ordered queso which was 10/10 delicious! Salsa was just okay. Ordered house margaritas, again they were just okay. The food was 10/10 delicious! We had chicken fajitas which came as a very generous portion and beef taco salad which in my opinion is the best and is the only one I want to eat every last bite of. Our server was very attentive but again we were one of 3 tables in the entire restaurant. The new bar looks really nice and is very large. Overall we were very pleased with our visit and will be back. Would love to try them when they are busier. Vegetarian options: They have a whole section on the menu for vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Highchairs available upon request. Parking: Lots of great parking.
