A very interesting Georgian restaurant that matched the taste of the dishes to what Manhattan likes without losing the uniqueness of Georgian food. The small plates were the best, we loved them more than the main courses. I think you can enjoy a meal at Chama Mama only with a lot of small plates and salads.
Cheese, dumpling and bread - can find all my favourite foods here ♡ simply delicious! The smell of adjaruli khachapuri was wonderful, the bread was soft but springy texture. Dumplings were tasty and juicy. The silky pumpkin soup was perfect for winter days! And as a cultural enthusiast, always happy to learn more local stories or historical facts, from a lovely postcard about ????????. The location is also convenient between AC &1 lines, few minutes walk can access to this cozy restaurant. The service was great too! It would be better with a basket for bags. Hope can visit again soon, comfort foods surely!
What a fantastic meal! The vibe of the restaurant is fun and playful while embracing the Georgian heritage. The staff were very friendly! I can't get over how GOOD the ADJARULI KHACHAPURI was. A traditional open-faced bread bowl filled with gooey cheese and topped with an egg. I was looking forward to trying this for awhile and oh boy did it deliver. The bread was so fresh and it tasted like an open faced calzone with a mix of different cheeses. Could not get enough of this dish. I was less than thrilled by the omelette with kabobs we had ordered as our second dish. The eggs were overcooked in a way I find displeasing but my partner had no issues with it. The kabob was tasty but slightly dry. Overall, despite by displeasure with the second dish we ordered, the first was soooooo good to that this place still gets 5 stars from me and I can't wait to come back for brunch again!
