Chai Peking Chinese Restaurant

First how do you have a restaurant with no menu? We had the "special" sesame chicken, almond chicken, white ri ce, fried ri ce and egg roll. The chicken was old, tough, and lacking flavor. The egg roll wrap was tough and greasy. Inside somewhat mushy and flavorless. Even the white rice was lacking. Counter man was terrific, very engaging.

My food, Hunan Beef, was good. Although it was not shockingly good, other than its price, it was good. I spent $16 something on a regular Hunan Beef. By the way, the place is in the Kroger store. Due to Google's incorrect location information, I wasted quite a long time around the mall.

I heard great reviews about this place and was very excited to try it. Unfortunately I was incredibly disappointed. The Mongolian beef would be better described as Mongolian onions, there was nearly no meat. I ordered chow mein and was given a pile of onions, snow peas, and celery there was literally NO pasta or crispy noodles on the side. The only redeeming quality to my meal was the cashew chicken which was very good. I would not recommend it to my friends and I certainly will not be going back.
