My favorite restaurant in Denver. While in Denver for work, I eat here at least once a week although this last time was twice! No matter what dish I’ve tried, it’s delicious. The service is also fantastic. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The Happy Hour portions are a plus, too! I eat here with a person who has celiac and he’s not had any issues with gluten contamination.
I just had the best time here! The staff is EXCEPTIONAL and the food is delicious. I was visiting Denver from Portland, OR on a work trip. I read about Cattivella on Eater and decided to try it since it wasn’t too far from the airport where I was staying. I definitely recommend sitting at the kitchen bar since the kitchen staff and chef are so fun and great at what they do! I had a couple of charbroiled oysters (literally bubbling in their shells! yum.) and the beet strata which was probably my favorite thing of the night. So colorful and almost too pretty to eat but also DELICIOUS and balanced, intricate flavors. I also recommend the rabbit gnocchi which is not a typical saucy-gnocchi dish, but is very flavorful and LOTS of rabbit. I saved my charbroiled lemon from the oysters and especially loved it with a little squeeze. Thank you to José Luis, Armando, and Chef Heriberto for the best home-away-from-home meal!
Such amazing food, and Kim was wonderful, BOTH NIGHTS! We loved Cattivella so much that we came both nights of our 2 day stay in Denver. Happy hour from 4-6 gave us a great opportunity to try many of the beautiful dishes and we loved all of them. Lovely warm weather and very professional staff rounded out the exquisite experience.
