Captain D's

The lady Julia is super sweet and my food is always fresh whenever she is working! I have eaten here when she is not working the drive thru and some younger kids don't know what they're doing and the food isn't good. However; when Miss Julia is here it's always excellent customer service and the food is great!

This was by far the most disappointing visit I've had at captain D's. The one gentleman in the back was doing everything (Bless him) but the register (cooking, greeting customers). The guy at the register barely moved, did not greet us and starred at us. I ordered a 3 piece fish and only got part of my fish and only 1 side. Had to ask 3 times for the rest of my food and finally recieved the items right before I left and had already finished our food. I remember the french fries being amazing and battered... these were horrible, Tasted like frozen fries that were microwaved. The fish was just okay, the bottoms were very soggy. I will not be back which is disappointing as I have such fond memories of how good this place use to be and raved about it to my friends.

We had dinner at this this Cap'n D's location on Wednesday evening. Even though we arrived at a time of day that would have been just after the dinner rush, it was spotlessly clean. Hard to do in a fast food restaurant! Cordell, the man behind the counter that took our order and served us, was very professional, helpful and patient (I asked a lot of questions about the senior menu, and he was very helpful and kind). When there was no line, instead of just standing around waiting for customers, the staff stayed busy. Nice to see. Cordell mopped and picked up any time there was a spare moment. The folks in the back seemed great too, but he is the only person I interacted with personally. A great team starts with great management and staff that gets along well with each other. Kudos to everyone that makes this location really pleasant to eat in. Also, the music was played at a nice low level, instead of blasting, like in some restaurants. And it was oldies music, which is always nice!
