I've been in Hoover for a long time now and Cajun Steamer has seriously made large strides to grow and adapt during these strange times. Their atmosphere and food is amazing! Haven't ordered Mussels anywhere but 30a and they were perfect. Crab Claws and even Oysters were great. Give them a shot!
The food was very good. I rated it average due to the service, or lack there of. I was one of a party of 3; me and my husband and brother-in-law. The waitress catered to them, refilled drinks, etc. I on the other hand never received a refill or extra napkins, etc. I may as well have been invisible. We had just gotten our meal and she was seated a large party and never came back by our table. Our check was $150 and if she's wondering why we only left her a $20 tip, now she'll know. We are normally good tippers and she COULD have just as easily made $50 tip that Labor Day lunch shift.
Love the food and atmosphere here and the staff so have that Southern charm!
