Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

Ordered 3 meals inside the restaurant using the kiosk... because nobody these days thinks they need to offer face to face customer service. 2 out of the 3 meals were wrong. Which is ridiculous because the order was clearly and correctly listed on the receipt attached to the bag. I guess 33.33% is a passing grade these days. The design of this location is ridiculous. You can't see them making your food like all the other Cafe Rio locations, so we had no idea our order was wrong until we got all the way home. The employees do not communicate with the customers at all unless you are going through the drive thru. They put a bag on a counter and just leave it sitting there rather than calling out the customers name to let them know their food is ready. While we were waiting for our food, there were several customers grabbing other people's bags because they didn't know who's bag was who's, Which could have been avoided had one of the employees simply called out the customers name. [Update 2/22] They have updated! They are now a typical Cafe Rio with the line kitchen and whatnot. So much better! :) Updating star rating. ---original review--- Suuuuper sloooooow. I love Cafe Rio, I really do. I kind of like the kiosk ordering system... maybe. I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered. There was literally no one else in the store. It was 2:20 pm. Someone else came in and ordered at the window instead of the kiosk. They got their food. It is now 2:44, and I have not received my very simple salad. I think I'll stick with the non-kiosk locations in the future. My food is ready in a couple minutes, 5 if they're busy and I have to wait in line, instead of 20.

Don't go! There is no service, you order on a machine and have no contact with staff. The atmosphere is cold and unwelcoming. Food is okay, certainly not good. Cannot get any vegan protein and only cheese for vegetarian protein. Lettuce in salads is practically not even chopped! Huge pieces you have to chop yourself. Worst of all, every single bit of the salad comes in a SEPARATE plastic container and they use styrofoam cups for water! HORRIBLE for the environment!!
