Byrds Hot Chicken

This place is located inside of the Orland Square shopping mall. It’s been at least five years since I have visited a shopping mall and I am happy to report that people still enjoy shopping in person. We had no problem finding Byrds in the food court. The guy working the counter was super nice and answered all of our questions. We came here with the kids and ended up getting mild medium and spicy sandwiches. All were very good and the hot had just enough kick. Meals are very generous. Each chicken sandwich meal included a huge sandwich plus two big sides and a drink. Overall great chicken sandwich spot.

SO GOOD!! I had the supahot sandwich with fries and potato salad. I thought everything would just be “okay” because it’s mall food… WRONG! To start, the sandwich was piping hot, fresh and actually very juicy (like mouth watering, LITERALLY) — not dry at all!! The fries were perfectly seasoned not over or under fried. And, to my surprise, the potato salad was really good too!! Their 24k sauce is really good, went back for a second cup of it! This is definitely a little gem at Orland Square Mall. The lady was very nice. Food turn around time was not long either. Will be returning!!

$20 total for a dry chicken sandwich with ice cold macaroni and cheese that cost $2.99 extra. It’s not hot or seasoned. Temperature or otherwise. It literally was cold. I’m not sure why they ask mild medium or hot for the chicken because they put no sauce on it. It’s also not moist. It was slathered in awful coleslaw. I don’t understand why the Mac and cheese was $2.99 extra it was served cold and tastes like nothing. Even the cheese I ordered with the cheese fries was bad. It was like water and splashed all over my clothes. You’re supposed to be able to dip your fries in cheese. Well they managed to water it down so much it falls right off your fry. I’ve never been so disappointed in spending $20 in my life. Just cook at home. I have no idea for the good reviews. Maybe they have no taste buds. Everything was flavorless. Im still mad about the cold Mac and cheese. I will never go back. Just go to chick fil a across the street at least they are faster cheaper and the Mac and cheese is b
