Butter and Brown Bistro

I went to this place once and the food wasn't good but I didn't to try it again. I ordered a jerk chicken omelette. I asked for no onions or peppers I waited almost 30 minutes once the food was ready I looked at the finished product and there were onions and peppers all through my potatoes. I voiced my displeasure with this and the dude who cooked my food took the potatoes out of the tray and sent word to me that " that's how they make them and there was nothing to be done, then I get the food home open the tray again and there's Grease everywhere. Terrible establishment terrible service. The only highlight was throwing the food in the trash. I would recommend that anyone spends there money in here. Wanted to try this place because they have a really exciting menu. Food was very bland, it’s a very new restaurant and you can tell. Service was not great although the waitress was nice (clearly inexperienced), I never got some items even after asking about them. She also asked to see our menu to make sure the missing items actually came with the meal I ordered, but never brought them out. Our meal came out in pieces so we had to eat it in intervals. A couple of the dishes they gave us were noticeably dirty. When we asked for boxes, they took our food to box it themselves in the back which I’m not completely comfortable with. Won’t be returning.

I went to this place for breakfast one Saturday morning because it was in the " hood" newly opened and was black owned. When my food came it was swimming in butter. The eggs, grits, pancakes, drowning in butter,, and bacon was greasy and burnt! I asked the waitress to come and take it back and bring me another order. When that order came, it was equally bad. I asked for the owner/ manager to come and look at the food, and he agreed it wasn't right and gave me a discount on bill, $3 off $22. Unless you have your cholesterol medication with you, don't go to Butter and Brown Bistro, on Austin& Lake Street.
