This location is by far my favorite place in the area. Outdoor seating is always intimate and relaxed. Food and ice cream right across the courtyard. Regular live music and half-off drafts on Wednesdays if you buy their glass. What's not to love? I'm almost hesitant to give away my secret, but this place deserves attention.
Busted Sandal Beer Garden in the Helotes Old Town shops area has great atmosphere with indoor seating in air conditioning and outdoor seating at picnic tables and many other tables scattered around the grounds. The beer is excellent, they tap new ones all the time. Yesterday Sunday the 16th of October they had three new ones on tap two ipas and a pumpkin Porter, have to say all three were excellent. Hector working the tap behind the bar is friendly and well informed about the beers. Check the place out you'll enjoy it!
If you want a chill place with chill music to catch up with an old pal, this is the spot. A rotation of 10 or so draft beers, all types so everyone will leave happy. Ask for samples of you're not sure what you want. They fill growlers, and have a growler discount on Thursdays.
