Bumpa's

We had to stop at Bumpas after I found it in downtown Charleston. Great atmosphere and awesome location to the things we were doing. The waitress explained about the photos up on the wall being the wall of heros. We had great service and it was awesome food! A must stop if you are downtown.

We came into town for my sons graduation and stuck around to be shown the area. Which, of course, meant food as my son is a foodie. To start off, this place is a pub, a very beautifully decorated bar with solid tables and a welcoming environment. The staff were knowledgeable, however not very attentive. We showed up a bit between lunch and dinner, so they weren't nearly as busy, but we still waited nearly 20 minutes to get a refill. That 20 minutes was from the time they asked if we would like a refill. But that's my negative, and i have not much else to complain about. Our burgers were cooked perfectly (chefs bacon cheeseburger), and the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. And in the hot summer weather we were cool enough to enjoy our late lunch. Definitely stop by. Our service could have been a fluke.

The brick walls are beautiful and the live music made my night. It wasn’t too loud, the atmosphere was perfect. The food was good and reasonably priced, especially considering the location and environment. I look forward to coming back and getting the keg of fries!
