Bulrush StL Restaurant

Really was not a fan. Out of 7 courses, 4 of them were basically dessert. Everything was over the top sweet. I really liked the concept of the restaurant and what they stand for. They really have a passion for food and making sure they don’t waste anything. The problem is they talk about it the whole time you’re trying to eat. Then there’s a QR code you’re suppose to watch more. Then the drink pairing has a long description. By the time all the talking is done, you’re over it. A bit pretentious the whole thing ended up feeling like a science experiment. If you’ve experienced true Michelin Star restaurants, this wouldn’t qualify. *edit* - restaurant management has replied. The whole thing was awkward, our table wasn’t ready for our reservation, it was hot as hell in the place and again, most of the dishes would qualify as dessert. There’s an overall feeling that everything was tossed together. Sorry you don’t like my review but it is what it is. I did enjoy your passion that is clearly

This was a magical experience and we enjoyed every second of it (we have been to several Michelin restaurants and this one should be one of them!). Food was phenomenal, service flawless, Chef Rob passionate about food, local ingredients and community. As a scientist I was very interested to hear about their seed and wine research. We also enjoyed company of people dining with us! We will be back!

My partner and I went here for the first time for my birthday and we were completely blown away! I'm a vegetarian and never once felt like my dietary needs were an afterthought. Every dish that had veggie modifications was prepared with just as much care and attention as the meat dishes. Each dish was more impressive than the last, and I was so sad when the last dish was served. I didn't want to leave! Chef Rob and his team are wonderful, hospitable individuals and we thoroughly enjoyed the educational components of the evening. This was not a meal, it was an EXPERIENCE. I would give Bulrush six stars if I could!
