Buckhorn BBQ + Grill

A fantastic BBQ place to eat in Sacramento. I was fairly impressed with this visit. I decided on the fish tacos. They were crispy and quite tasty. The best part was that I had my food roughly 5 minutes after ordering. It was a good quick in and out that was quite satisfying. There’s outdoor seating available for those nice weather days. The special sauces were to die for, especially the chipotle ranch. Try it out. So good!

I drove by Buckhorn BBQ and thought of the “Buckhorn” restaurant that I used to go to in the “Metreon Building??” in San Francisco. I had recalled, I used to order a large salad with steak and onion strings that was a favorite of mine. I had wondered if this was the same restaurant chain? I decided to go in and check it out. I saw the “Roadhouse“ salad on the menu. I had tri tip beef added to the salad and fortunately it appeared to be the same as I remembered from long ago! The salad was large and was delicious with string beans, tomatoes, blue cheese and a good vinaigrette. Tri tip was a perfect medium rare! I had to pack up half of the salad to take with me for a second meal. I was very happy to rediscover Buckhorn and this salad. I will definitely be back!
