Tried Buck Tui BBQ for the first time and it was fantastic! We ordered Kow Tord Fritters, brisket egg rolls, and Sausage dumplings for appetizers and all were delicious. We ordered the Buck Tui BBQ Platter and it did not disappoint! I the platter allowed us to try just about everything - brisket, pulled pork, chicken, sausage, house made pickles, mac and cheese, jasmine rice, papaya slaw, bbq sauce, and tiger cry sauce. The cocktails were perfect with our meal too! Service was terrific as well and the dining room was comfortable. We all agreed that it was some of the best bbq in KC.
Overall 8.4/10 New restaurant that came to play. This new style Thai-bbq mash up is a definite hit. This place has a lot of classic Thai dishes mixed with flavor packed bbq. Smokey, rich, and jam packed so much flavor this place is a must visit for Thai and bbq lovers both. The restaurant is a low lit yet elegant design with lots of seating and open bar. I ordered the BBQ Phad see eaw with brisket and what a combo. Also ordered the tiger cry beef ribs which were a great intro. Also tried the banh mi which was a delicious combination of flavor. If you are in the downtown overland Park area I would highly recommend adding this place to try on your next night out.
Thai and KC BBQ??? Yes, and it works. Portions are large and visually appealing. Service was quick and friendly. Some of their meats are not GF (sausage and ribs). The chicken wings were hot crisp and tasty and of course VERY MESSY. The brisket was perfectly cooked and fall apart tender. Thai Sausage was my favorite. The beef salad had the Thai flavors I was hunting for. Lots of mint and lemongrass. We will come here again and I want to try the ribs. Hey Buck Tui. Can you make a burnt ends appetizers? Just slather it in tiger cry spices!!! Dietary restrictions: They have Gluten free options and the staff is very familiar with their options
