At first I was really excited to share one of my fav sandwhich shops with my significant other but then I found out the old location had closed. No worries though this location was also quirky although not as historically cool as the other. The disappointment started though when I didn't see the Southern Charm sandwhich. I don't give a D about a tv show but this sandwhich was one of the best! Please bring it back! My partner has a nut allergy and this is where things went from bad to worse. Half of the sandwiches have some form of nut allergen from pesto to various meat and cheeses. No worries we thought we'll just sub or exclude those items. Nope! We were told there's no subs on meat and they can't be left off of the sandwich...what!?! Not allowing substitutions is one thing although kind of unfair when it comes to allergens but to not allow a sandwhich to be made without an item is absurd. Great sandwiches. My husband got the Mac and cheese one and I got the short rib grilled cheese sandwich. The flavor was excellent but the only thing was it wasn’t a lot in quantity and it doesn’t come with any sides at all. Extra sides like chips is another 2 dollar. Literally some of the BEST food I’ve ever had. The wait was 30 minutes but so worth it. I got the Caribbean black bean burger with pasta salad. Delicious. I came with 5 other people and they also loved their meals. Great price and great service. 10/10 recommend for anyone visiting Charleston and looking for a cute hole-in-the-wall restaurant with great food at a good price point.
