Breck's Steakhouse

Do not waste your time or money on this place and they are no steakhouse. Ordered the ribye and shrimp the steak was literally 1/4 inch thick. Dry and tuff. When they brought the meal out they tell us they are out of mash potatoes. Worst part we thought we heard them say they were out of mash potatoes before we ordered but the waitress still let us order and never came to tell us. Not to mention out of Pepsi and the greenbeans were awful and the charged us 52 dollars for that. WORST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUH

We went to register and waited while a man placed his to go order, then cashier turned and walked away. Two other employees came up they all spoke with each other, then turned and walked away, stating someone would help us in a moment. The original lady came back to register to check us out. The bill had a convenience fee 4% added. The memo on bill said convenience fee would be added if you pay with card and if you pay with cash you would get a 4% discount. I paid in cash and asked for the discount. I was informed that she reversed the 4% charge and that that was the cash discount. After waiting 10 minutes to pay I was not happy and the 3 employees were rude.

We are from out of town and we were looking for a family owned restaurant and we found this needle in the hay stack. Our waitress was wonderful, nice and attentive. We got the crab dip appetizer and after getting over the shock of it being cold, it had great flavor. Our steaks came out perfectly cook and tender. Then we ended our meal with their cakes- they were homemade and absolutely delicious. This is defiantly and go to place and that is saying a lot since my husband is a trained chef and has been in the restaurant industry for 30+ years. Thanks for a great intro to SC food and hospitality.
