Borti Pasta Bar

This place is the end-all be-all of authentic Italian restaurants. I have been all over the USA and I have yet to find a place that can even hold a candle to Borti. The texture of their fresh, homemade pasta is perfect. It has a kind of velvety-smoothness that makes each spoonful a pleasure to bite into, and their homemade sauces are simple and rich in flavor. Some of my favorites are their pesto gnocchi, carbonara, and their lasagna. Absolute killer dishes. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some of the best authentic pasta around.

When I tell you this was an absolutely amazing experience I tell you no lie. Aside from the fact that the folks there are super friendly, warm and accommodating the food is mind blowing! So much so that I had to go back two more days to get the same meal (no shame lol). This was by far one of the best culinary experiences I have had in some time and may just be my favorite establishments at the Citadel. Well some folks. See you soon ☺️.

I've been coming here since they opened, and never once has the quality or experience diminished. Excellent Northern Italian food, always amazing and unique special options. I've tried the bruschettas (all fresh toppings on grilled crusty bread), fried arancini appetizer, gnocchis (all homemade everything of course), and other pasta dishes. There is nothing on their menu that isn't thoughtful, perfectly seasoned, and just plain delicious. Every sauce has depth to it, every ingredient is fresh, and there's just so much love in this food. Don't miss the wine options and tiramisu. It's homemade (no surprise there!). The owner Mauro is the real deal!
