We visited Bob's on Valentine's night after looking at all the rave reviews. Despite the phenomenal service, the food was sadly very disappointing. We ordered the filet medium rare with a side of smothered potatoes. However the meat was very rare with a cool bleeding center which wasn't appetizing (we didn't want to send our food back because it was our special night and didn't want to spend our time waiting on our food). The potatoes were okay, rather under seasoned. The carrot was just a glazed boiled carrot. For a steakhouse of this price range, we expect a lot more and regret not going to Perry's. The desert was small and our lava cake was overcooked and not oozy. The Valentine's special menu drinks were not bad. Overall, not worth the hype.
We went here on Saturday and loved it! The food was fantastic and our server was one of the best I have ever had. He made great recommendations, was very knowledgable about the menu, and checked on us just enough. I recommend trying to get a booth, they are very comfy and made it very easy to have a conversation with our dinner companions. I had the filet, which was fantastic. We also got the creamed corn and spinach, which were amazing. I can't wait to go here again.
The food was good, so did the service, still my favorite steak house!!
