Bún Bò Huế Restaurant

If you spend any amount of time in Vietnam you pretty quickly learn that no matter how sketchy a place looks from the outside, if it's one thing to never doubt them for before trying is when it's food, and this definitely holds true here! Very delicious BBH with authentic taste especially the soup, the classic thick noodles were done just right, and the sate/spice was also very good. Amazing service and the food came really quickly. Highly recommend and will definitely be back the next time I'm in Portland!

Such a gem i found today! Delicious bun bo hue and surprisingly friendly staff???? I got the small size and it has enough meat and noodles. Spicy level was a bit lower, but the owner offered to give us extra sauce next time! The place does smell a bit off, but i think its because of the fish sauce used in many other dishes, which I didn't mind too much. I will def be back!

Second time’s a charm. First attempt, I came around 4PM and found it to be closed, even though google states 8PM closing hour. Walked around back and owner told me they ran out of broth. Came back the next day, earlier, around noon. The Bo bun hue was flavorful and tasty. I usually tolerate blood cakes but the ones in this dish were the best I’ve ever had, actually the highlight of the dish. The chicken wings were a bit below average. Service was nice and cordial.
