Beautiful restaurant located on the marina in Redondo Beach! There was a wait 30-45 minutes, we were told(expected at dinnertime on Saturday night almost anywhere). It was actually 20. John, our server, was phenomenal! Very friendly, personable and funny. Kept things flowing. Clam chowder was good. I ordered blackened pepper snapper. NOT the red snapper I am used to on the East Coast. This was a rockfish, but it was good. Didn't care for the scalloped potatoes. The others seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall, I would recommend it. Features: It was very clean to have as many guests as was there.
Stopped in for happy hour and got the fish tacos and the oysters. Fish tacos were nice and Hardy and flavorful and the oysters are some of the best I've ever had. Bluewater Grill is located on the pier with a view of the boats and yachts. There is ample free parking. We had clam chowder, grilled chicken with scalloped potatoes (a huge portion), ponzu sashimi scallops, and drinks. The food was delicious. They also served sourdough with butter. We liked the waterfront ambiance and the ease of parking. Kid-friendliness: They have a kid's menu. My daughter got a meal with cheese toast, french fries, and fruit, and ice cream with gummy worms for dessert. Parking: There is ample free parking (a private lot exclusively for the restaurant patrons).
