Blue Willow Restaurant & Gift Shop

Blue Willow never disappoints. It was my favorite breakfast spot when I lived in the area, and I knew it had to be on the list of places to visit while I was in town this past week. Still just as great as I remember. They're cocktails are great and the menu always has something fresh and delicious. At this visit I had the fall mimosa and the Blue Willow Benedict. Definitely hit the spot.

This place is always great! Take note that when you call to make reservations you're told they don't take reservations and advised to go to their website to hold your place in line. Their website always says no wait and to come on in. When we arrived, we had a 45 minute wait. That's why I'm giving 4 stars for this review. The food and service are always excellent!

Today was the first time I’ve ever been disappointed at Blue Willow. Unfortunately it was a major disappointment. I ordered the Cubano and the way it was served needed much improvement. I think presentation counts. This looks like the style of a fast food sandwich joint. Perhaps slice the sandwich and spread the chips on the plate? I lifted the top of the bun and tried a forkful of the pulled pork. It was cold, bland, and greasy. That plate was immediately returned. My companion ordered her go-to meal of Spinach Lasagna. Fortunately that tasted good, but plating was sub-par on her dish compared to the past. I’ve been a long time fan of Blue Willow and hope this isn’t the start of a trend. They’ll lose me as a customer for good if this happens again.
