Blue Steel Pizza Co - Lauderdale

I would actually give this place a 4 star, but the service was very slow and it maybe due to a lack of staffs. We waited over 20 minutes for our appetizers, but outside of the long wait, this restaurant was really nice. The restaurant itself is really cozy with some really nice decor that gives it a unique vibe. The music playing in the background is a really nice touch as well. The food was pretty good. We ordered the bao buns and the crab fries. Also drinks were really good! I would definitely go again.

Excellent experience from start to finish since the moment we walked in. Went for a girls night to grab a bite and drink with my girlfriend to catch up and have a nice time. We really appreciate the attention to detail and positive service we received from every person we encountered especially the hostess and our waiter. The Hawaiian pizza was delicious. We also really enjoyed the fries and wings that were cooked just right. Our drink was good too! Love the aesthetics and vibe overall as well. Everything was clean and fresh. We will definitely be back! Thank you for an overall wonderful experience.

Enviably located along Commercial in what was once Gatsby's is Blue Steel Pizza. As Blue Steel has retained much of the décor of what was Gatsby's it has a great atmosphere and is far better in appearance than most pizza places. It also has a far better more extensive menu, but also where Blue Steel differs from other pizza places is that specializes in Detroit Style Pizza. A Detroit-style pizza is made with a thick and fluffy crust reminiscent of focaccia, and as such a Detroit-style crust stands out among other crusts with its airier texture and cheesy, crispy underside. Blue Steel offers a variety of about 9, ranging from their Classic with red sauce to a Ricotta N' Sausage with a vodka sauce and even a Little Neck Clam with bechamel. For my meal, I went for their Crispy Cola wing done with Coca-Cola BBQ, toasted onions, pink peppercorns, and a really delicious gorgonzola dressing.
