First time here - and in short, we loved it. I will be back and recommend it to others. We were looking to get out of our routine of the same Italian and Asian restaurants and this came through in a big way. Flavors were awesome, staff were very friendly and helpful, ambiance was good. We way over ordered for 2 people. The social platter and extra salad we ordered could’ve easily fed 4… but we got leftovers so that’s fine. Would be a great family style eating experience for a group. Smaller parties beware not to get too much because the portions are fairly large. There was a heavy incense smell inside, which we like but some people might dislike depending on their sensitivity.
I like the food here. This is the only Ethiopian I have been to, so cannot compare. The food is fresh and the people serving are very warm and friendly. My only concern is the long wait time to get the food. If you do not want to wait long, I suggest ordering in advance.
Blue Nile is definitely a step out of the norm for most people, but if you like a little bit of spice and flavor in your life, you need to try it. My wife and I have usually gotten the Kitfo and Vegetarian Combination done family style. It's a spicy pile of food that will leave you stuffed and satisfied.
