A beary nice breakfast experience. ???? It's not particularly easy to get to from I-10 but worth the effort. I had the NY Strip Steak and Eggs with bscuits, asked for the side of gravy; the Missus had the 2 Egg Combo with Bacon. All was excellent as was the coffee. Clean place, friendly staff. Recommended for any meal really (I've had lunch and dinner before at their Cypress location), but breakfast is their highlight for sure.
This was my first trip to Black Bear Diner. This place is a nice, modern version of a traditional diner with a pacific northwest influence. You can find all your diner favorites here, as well as some more modern dining options like avocado toast The food was very good and cooked fresh.
I was excited when I read the reviews. I looked forward trying their food. Boy, was I disappointed once I got the chance. I order the meat loaf with mashed potatoes, green beans and house salad. The salad came first, and it was pretty decent. You know, it's hard to mess up on salad. When the main course was served, my mouth watered like a hungry wolf. I bit into the meat loaf, because meat loaf is my all time favorite, and my feelings were hurt. They missed the mark on that meat loaf. It was sweet, cold, and just flat out disappointing. The food was bland and COLD! I'm giving two stars because of the milkshake and the server.
