[8/29/2022][$21] Mini Deep Dish pizza was good. It was very mini. We visited Monday night during the happy hour. The restaurant was busy and the service was excellent as usual. [8/21/2022][$45] Nacho was excellent and loaded burgers were very good. Nothing negative to report. Our server was excellent.
I just ate dinner there and usually love the food, but my husband and I noticed a change in the menu $$ and the pizza. We ordered the large 14” pizza and were both disappointing that it was different. We noticed it was 90% puffy bread (last time it was deep dish but more compact, dense crust) and the toppings did not taste gourmet. I had recently ordered a 14” pizza at Cane Rosso and could compare. The pizza was $10 cheaper ($20 as compared with BJ’s $31) and had fresh delicious crust and lots of gourmet toppings. The pizza last night wasn’t so bad we sent it back or complained, it just is different in a not great way due to costing more but less quality. Service was good and I like atmosphere (but the husband thought it was too dim and loud). Photo is of cold pizza leftovers.
Was in Plano area last week and my out of town girls friends & I decided to go to B.J’s per my recommendation as it is one of my favorite fun place to drink & dine. As always, food, drinks, service was awesome. Today’s visit deserve an extra star! Not only did our waiter WILLIAM exceeded our expectations with his excellent customer service, he was also quite impressive on how well groomed he was and how He wore his service uniform quite professionally.
