BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

We visited about a week ago, and were not impressed. The food was fine, tasty even. I had the wings, and my girlfriend had the salmon. It was good. However the service was abysmal. Out waitress Lisa, took our order, brought us our food, and drinks, and that was the last time she came over. I guess there was a large birthday party going on, and we saw her attending to them. She did not come back to check on us one time. I ran out of water halfway through and was never offered a refill. We had to ask a different waitress if she could track ours done to get us the check. We had to wait 20 minutes after finishing our food before we got the check. My girlfriend had also wanted to order a dessert for after her meal, but was never given the opportunity. We ended having to order it to go when we asked for the check. Long story short, food was decent, service was terrible.

It really used to be great and consistent. Our last two visits in the past month have been mediocre. No issues with servers or restaurant cleanliness. It is only the food that was mediocre. Our last visit we had 2 ahi tuna salads and kids spaghetti. We have had both dishes dozens of times. The last 2 times it seems that everything was reheated or not fresh. The Ahi seemed like it was frozen too long and had a hairy texture. it was also almost white/pink instead of the typical dark red center. I get this every time I go and since I have had 2 bad servings, I lost my reason to go. I get that most business are having a tough time but so are patrons. I can't spend my money here when I can get better at so many other establishments. I am sad to say I am no longer a BJ's customer after many years. Keep in mind this is the only BJ's we go to, so it may just be this location.

Our first time to Phoenix, we hit BJs in the afternoon for a quick drink. We enjoyed the place so much, we came back with our son for dinner! If you’re in the area, stop in you won’t be disappointed.
