BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

I recently visited BJ's in Merrillville Indiana l was very impressed with the food. I ordered the blackened salmon, rice, and broccoli, and it was cooked perfectly. The salmon was flaky and moist, and the broccoli was cooked al dente. The rice was also perfectly seasoned. The service at BJ's was also excellent. My server was friendly and attentive, and she made sure that I had everything I needed. I also appreciated that she was able to recommend some of the beers on tap, which were all delicious. Overall, I had a great experience at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Merrillville. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal in the area

We arrived shortly after they opened. Our waitress Stephanie was an absolute peach. Very friendly and helpful. By far one of the better waitresses we've had in a long time. Loved how they had some spooky drinks for the season, so of course, I had to try a few of them out, and they were all delicious. For the starter, we ordered the pretzel and cheese, nice size, we even had leftovers. We ordered the prime rib, a little on the fatty side, but still good. We also ordered the jambalaya, which my husband enjoyed. The prime rib came with a dessert, so we got that to go, the brownie sundae. They did a nice job with packaging everything separately so it wouldn't be mush when we got home. The place was clean, the staff was friendly. We had a great time and we will definitely come back.

We visited BJs on Sunday, July 10th around 7pm. The place was packed outside so we decided to eat indoors because they still had tables. When we walked in we weren’t greeted by any of the hostesses and they actually seemed angry that they had to seat us. The one who was working to find tables seated the people in line ahead of us and then walked off. It turns out she was clocking out and didn’t even have the decency to say, please excuse me while another hostess seats you. I wanted to leave but my husband and son really wanted to stay so we waited a good 5 minutes for another hostess to seat us and even she was distracted and didn’t greet us. She asked where we wanted to sit and we chose a table away from the busy bar area. Our table was clean but we didn’t have any napkins or silverware, we had to ask for that, we also had to ask for water and when it came time to order, half of the food was sold out or unavailable so our options were limited.
