Bilda's Friess Lake Pub

Great atmosphere with staff that know their beers and the menu. Onsite smoked meats. Robust menu. Definitely a place to add on your bucket lists.

We stopped at Bilda's Friess Lake Pub for lunch on Saturday, February 19th 2022. We were greeted promptly and courteously and given our choice of the tables in the dining area. Bilda's has a rustic road-house vibe with an impressive craft beer selection and a 2000+ mug beer club. Order at the counter and the service staff brings your food to your table then, pay at the counter when you're done. We had the Mile High Rueben with Sour Cream and Chive Fries (big sandwich, crispy on both sides, nice big portion of chunky corned beef and the fries were excellent) and Chicken Sandwich with Sour Cream and Chive Fries (good sized sandwich with a crispy breading and fresh toppings - again, the fries are really good). This was a really friendly place and we had a good time - we'll definitely be back to try more of their menu and more of their craft beer selection.

All I have to say is WOW!!! Literally some of the best BBQ I've ever had. The smoked wings were probably the best wings I've ever had at a restaurant, and they know exactly how to make them because if you just smoke them they are still super rubbery, so after they smoke them, they flash deep fry them so that they have the smokey flavor and are still super crispy. Then I got the platter with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. The brisket, just like the wings, were probably the best brisket I've ever had at a restaurant. The ribs were super tender, but still had a nice texture, and when I grabbed the first one, it fell right off the bone. And the pulled pork was very tasty as well. We also had the burnt ends that were excellent and the fat was rendered perfectly. I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10 and would recommend everyone to come and try it. It was the first time I ever ate there and will definitely go back again next time I am in town because I live far away in Minneapolis
