Big Billy's Burger Joint

I really wanted to like this place. The reviews were great. The menu looked great. Ordered a burger medium rare, and received a burger quite well done. Unfortunately, it made it impossible to eat much of the meal, it was entirely too dry. Had the trappings of a fantastic burger, poorly prepared. The bartender did comp half the meal, apologized and explained that there "was a new guy in the kitchen" but ultimately a disappointment.

Came here hoping for a good burger, the restaurant was poorly lit, although service was amazing and very attentive. The food was odd, we both bought ostrich burgers. The burgers were so big that it made a huge mess and was difficult to eat. The fried food was nothing special.

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the beginning to end, it was great. The hostess was super friendly. Service was fast and good! And oh my gosh this might be the best burger in Charleston. The biggest thing was how hot and fresh it was!! I love how you can get different types of meat. I'll have to try that next time. I wanted to share Big Billy's hand because it was so good!!
