It was a sweet & bitter experience out here! Food: The food was ok! Hardly any flavour in the food in this particular restaurant. Chicken soaked in bland marinara sauce given with yogurt. I am not sure what kind of a combination this is. Baklava was delicious! Service: We had to wait for so long & the lady there cared least to tell us about the wait time. Very unpleasant customer service by the lady staff. If it wasn't for the gentleman to take over service for us, we were to leave the restaurant then. We don't know his name, but he was extremely courteous, kind & served us with a pleasant smile.
DELISH! I had an amazing dinner at Bereket! I haven't had fresh eggplant, hummas, or grape leaves in forever (Sample appetizer). The Turkish pizza was outstanding (See photo). I will definitely be taking my family and clients here. Best baklava for dessert was a treat, also. Run - don't walk! to get an delicious healthy meal in The Loop. NOTE- Homemade ???? bread, hummus, desserts, etc. Outstanding! Bravo, Bereket! My new happy place
Those who have not been to Turkey should not think that Turkish kebabs are so tasteless. Real Turkish kebabs are much tastier than the ones here. The meat and spices used did not give the taste of Turkish kebab. Unfortunately, Turkish cuisine has not been represented as beautiful and delicious as it deserves. One of the aims of Turkish Restaurants in America should be to promote Turkish cuisine in the best possible way. If you still want to try it, I think you should keep your expectations low.
