We stumbled upon this gem because we were searching for vegetarian friendly meal options (of which NOLA seems sorely lacking). Many vegetarian meal items on the menu; some look vegan friendly as well. We enjoyed the Akara appetizer, lentil soup, and the Jama and Yasa dishes. They also serve chilled tea; we really liked the ginger one. The atmosphere was authentic and our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. We had a great time and prices were quite reasonable. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian/vegan options on the menu.

I had a wonderful experience here, the food is amazing and the staff is super sweet and really helpful. It’s a nice quiet and homey vibe very comfy and relaxing with the sounds of Afro best going in the background. After eating my egusi soup I wanted to lay down and fall asleep I almost forgot where I was. Now for the egusi soup and fufu it was so good and the plate came steaming hot I got the medium spice bowl and it was amazing not too spicy at all and full of flavor. I LIVED for the sweet plantains I had to order more before leaving I was happy. You guys are doing an amazing job thank you for making me feel welcomed. ????????????

Beautiful interior. Waitstaff was kind, though the service was a bit slow. Still worth if for the delicious food. The arkara was golden and crispy on the outside, and deliciously spongy on the inside. The doh doh had a yummy caramel crust on it. The lico sisay was well seasoned, but the meat was overcooked and hard to chew. The mokondo yogurt was scrumptious.
