Barcelona Wine Bar

Went here with a friend for a concert in town. My friend had never tried a place that he could try so many tapas at before. The food came out quick and hot. The drinks were well crafted. The staff were super friendly to us. We would be happy to come back anytime. Great gem to try if you are in New Haven.

The service here was so awesome! The waitress and the manager were so kind and the food came out at a good pace. I came here with my wife and we enjoyed it a lot. We ordered three tapas (spiced beef empanadas, patatas bradas, and albondigas) and the half paella mariscos and that was plenty to fill us up. Out of the Tapas… the patatas bradas was the best. The sauce that went over the potatoes had such an impact. If I had to pick the best dish for tonight it would be the Paella Mariscos for me though. As soon as I ate the rice I could taste the seafood umami and it was so delicious!! Highly recommend! Lots of street parking around the area.

This place has an amazing atmosphere! The food is great and the staff is really friendly! The manager was very respectable and attentive — she stopped by our table to check if we were enjoying our meals and I noticed she did that to every single table while she was around! The tapas plates are really yummy, but, as expected, portions are very small. The price adds up quickly, even if dinner is just for two people. Foe tapas: I recommend the gambas (we ordered it twice because they were that good!), the okra and the salt cod. This felt like a great spot for a date or to have dinner with friends. Definitely worth the experience! Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian plates, including tapas with potatoes, okra, and other veggies as the main dish.
